A new poll out by Harvard/Harris finds former President Donald Trump leading President Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup by 5 points, 45%-40%. The conventional wisdom is that Trump cannot beat Biden in a General Election. But Biden is showing significant weakness on a whole range of issues – particularly the U.S. Economy. What if the Economy falls into a recession this fall and into next year, as many Economists and the Federal Reserve believe it will? This poll was done last week, well after Trump was indicted in Manhattan, and Trump increased his margin over Biden by 1-point, despite the indictment. Perhaps Trump will be stronger against Biden than anyone thinks.
