This is really sad. It’s pathetic. President Trump is outright lying about Gov. Ron DeSantis to try and bring him down in the minds of Republican voters. It certainly shows Trump fears DeSantis.
Of all things, Trump is attacking DeSantis on – COVID! Attacking DeSantis for the COVID death rate in Florida – 3rd in total deaths (uh, it’s the 3rd largest state AND has a LOT of elderly citizens.) Attacking DeSantis for shutting the state down. He only did a few weeks AT TRUMP’S REQUEST, but reopened the state earlier that most by early May 2020. Don’t forget, it was President Trump who shut the COUNTRY down and let Dr. Fauci drive the COVID train. Donald Trump has no room to say a single, solitary thing about COVID. Not a single word should come out of his mouth.
He has now given DeSantis the opening to hammer Trump over COVID and Dr. Fauci. Trump knows he’s vulnerable on this and he must think his voters (I voted for him twice) will just blindly believe what he is saying about DeSantis. Well, this Trump voter won’t. I think Trump is hurting himself with this attack. But he clearly thinks he can get away with it.
