Here is the riveting speech President Donald Trump gave tonight at the Republican National Convention, accepting the Party’s 2024 Presidential Nomination.
The first 15 minutes was a subdued Trump recounting the assassination attempt against him just five days ago – July 13 – in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump described moment by moment leading up to him getting shot in the ear, and then raising his fist to let the crowd know he was still alive. He also paid tribute to the volunteer firefighter who died in the attack, walking over to Corey’s fireman uniform and helmet, which he had on stage.
The rest of the speech was like many Trump rallies, with a more unifying emphasis, vowing to be President for all Americans. It was a great end to a great GOP Convention!
