Oh my goodness. Lawrence Jones got a big chance this week at Fox News. He’s filling the Tucker Carlson slot for the week, essentially a chance to try out to replace Carlson, whom the network fired last week. Jones opened tonight’s show by interviewing GOP Presidential Candidate, Gov. Asa Hutchinson – the former Governor of Arkansas.
Jones was just bizarre in his questioning of Hutchinson. He looked like a man who was trying to hard. He tried to come out like a tough guy in his interview, but he came off as awkward and over-the-top. Poor Gov. Hutchinson barely got a word in edge-wise before Lawrence was interrupting him, telling him, “That’s the old Republican Party. It’s a new party now!” This even after Hutchinson said he is pro-life, believes there are only two genders, stands for tax cuts etc. It was like, “What in the world is going on?”
Hopefully, the rest of the week will go better. I like Lawrence, but this made him look not ready for primetime.
