Here is outstanding video, some of the clearest you will see from that era, of President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressing a Joint Session of Congress on December 8, 1941 to request a declaration of War against the Empire of Japan. His speech followed the surprise attack of the Japanese against the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
