Here is President Trump’s former Attorney General Bill Barr on Fox News Sunday laying out the grim reality about the 37 count Federal Indictment facing his old boss for Mar-a-Lago Classified Document fiasco. Barr says flatly that if only half of what is set forth in the indictment is true, “he’s toast.”
Barr points out he has defended Trump over the years against the actual witch-hunt against him by the Left – especially in the “Russia Collusion” nonsense. But Barr said “this is not that.” He said there is “no universe” in which Trump should have taken those documents and kept them – particularly the Defense Department and National Security Documents. It is believed Trump had battle plans on attacking Iran in his possession after leaving office.
I have to say, it is beyond troubling that Trump would take documents like that with him after leaving office. What is so sad is that by doing so, Trump has served up on a golden platter the means by which his enemies can destroy him. It’s clear that Bill Barr does not think there is any way for Trump to get out from under this indictment.
