President Donald Trump seems to confirm what had been rumored yesterday, that the Manhattan District Attorney is going to criminally charge him, which would require Trump to surrender to authorities for arrest. Trump made the statement on his Truth Social site Saturday:
Of all things, the Manhattan DA – Alvin Bragg – is using the old “Stormy Daniels” saga as a ruse to indict Trump. We all know this is a witchhunt to “get” Trump, and we all know Trump won’t get a fair trial in New York City. It’s not possible. This is a continuation of what we saw from the time Trump announced he was running in 2015.
It’s unfortunate Trump is calling for “protests.” You know there will be some fringe folks – or Leftists posing as Trump supporters – who will do something stupid and the Media will then use it to tarnish every Conservative. Trump would be better to face this gracefully, and then hammer the Biden Administration for acting like a third world country – where the political opposition is often charged with a crime with no real evidence. Everyone who supports Trump should remain totally peaceful. Otherwise, you are playing right into the hands of the Left.
It would not surprise me at all to see other indictments come soon. They may be planning that as a coordinated attempt to finish Trump off. The Atlanta election case could be next, and the Special Counsel – Jack Smith – could follow soon thereafter. It’s a sad day for our country. We have to hope that the overreach by the Trump-haters will bring about something good in 2024.
