As the War in Ukraine approaches the one-year anniversary on February 24, it appears Russian President Valdimir Putin is preparing a massive assault to take Ukraine. Reports indicate as many as 500,000 Troops are being readied for the assault. If this happens it will come as a shock to many people in the United States, who have assumed Ukraine has won and Putin is defeated. People forget how many casualties Russia has absorbed in previous wars – millions in World War II. It does not appear they are ready to give up and accept defeat in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia<\/a>\u00a0is believed to be\u00a0plotting an attack<\/a>\u00a0across two new fronts – pushing into eastern and southern\u00a0Ukraine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kyiv believe Mad Vlad’s attack<\/a> may happen around February 24 – the one year anniversary of the invasion<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Putin <\/a>is desperate to achieve something after a bruising first year which has seen his forces thrown back<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ukraine however fear the next few weeks will be crucial for the conflict as they continue to call for weapons from the West<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Defence minister Oleksii Reznikov believes Putin is gathering up to 500,00 soldiers for the new offensive<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And it comes as Putin’s top diplomat Sergei Lavrov said Russia was ready to “gain the world’s attention”<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He didn’t provide any further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is understood there are around 326,000 Russian troops currently on operation in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
