He is beginning with surprising strength considering Biden is a sitting President. Kennedy Jr.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2023\/04\/19\/robert-kennedy-jr-white-house-campaign-2024-biden\/11687925002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">launches his unlikely bid<\/a>&nbsp;for the Democratic presidential nomination Wednesday with the support of 14% of voters who backed President Joe Biden in 2020, an exclusive USA TODAY\/Suffolk University Poll finds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That is surprising&nbsp;strength for a candidate who has a famous political name but is now known mostly as the champion of a debunked conspiracy theory blaming childhood vaccines for autism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the survey\u00a0taken Saturday through Tuesday, only 67% of Biden&#8217;s 2020 supporters said they would support him for the Democratic nomination over his current challengers. Kennedy stands at 14%, and self-help author\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2019\/07\/23\/democratic-candidate-marianne-williamson-i-am-not-cult-leader\/1803163001\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marianne Williamson<\/a>, a quixotic candidate for the nomination last time, is at 5%.
