Essentially, Trump and 18 other &#8220;co-conspirators&#8221; are being <s>persecuted<\/s> prosecuted for saying they believed Trump won the Election &#8211; something about half the nation still believes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Former President Donald Trump&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/14\/politics\/donald-trump-fulton-county-georgia\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">has been indicted<\/a>&nbsp;in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/12\/politics\/fulton-county-trump-investigation-explainer\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the 2020 election subversion case<\/a>&nbsp;in Georgia.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Prosecutors say Trump and others &#8220;joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome&#8221; of the election.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/14\/politics\/trump-indictment-list\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">19 defendants<\/a>&nbsp;named in the 41-count indictment.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/trump-fulton-county-georgia-08-14-23\/h_c519d109a844b5c9932d605662e9066d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In addition to Trump,&nbsp;<\/a>they include his lawyers, John Eastman and Rudy Giuliani, as well as former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. Read the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/08\/14\/politics\/read-trump-indictment-georgia-election\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">full indictment<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said the 19 defendants have until noon ET on August 25, to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/politics\/live-news\/trump-fulton-county-georgia-08-14-23\/h_c9c3115c963c8d0b0459cda91f2b1114\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;&#8220;voluntarily surrender.&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/interactive\/2023\/07\/politics\/trump-indictments-criminal-cases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the fourth indictment<\/a>&nbsp;Trump is facing. The former president, who is the current GOP 2024 frontrunner, has already been charged&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/03\/20\/politics\/donald-trump-legal-clouds\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in three separate cases<\/a>&nbsp;this year.
